Legendary Chicano bluesman Randy Garibay passed away peacefully at home, with family and friends at his side, on Thursday, May 23rd, at 10:40 a.m.  He was 62 years old.  He is survived by his wife Virginia Schramm Garibay, his son Randy Garibay Jr. and his wife Maria, his daughter Michelle Garibay-Carey and her husband Pat; his granddaugher Mia Carey, and seven brothers and sisters.  Randy died of cancer which was diagnosed last January.  He faced the disease with characteristic courage, serenity, and a positive attitude.
